Poland LibraryPoland is located aapproximately 7 miles southeast of Youngstown in Mahoning County, and consists of Poland Village and Poland Township. Poland Village covers a land area of 1.65 square miles with a population of 2,555 at the 2010 census. Poland Township's land area is 21.2 miles, and the population at the 2010 census was 14,960.

Charming Poland Village is characterized by tree-lined streets and older homes, many of them restored historical homes. The township is where most of the newer housing developments are located. Housing ranges from large estates, to smaller and mid-size family homes, villas and condos.

In 1796 Poland Township became the first charted township in the Connecticut Western Reserve, the southeasternmost portion, or Town One, Range One.The village of Poland was founded in 1866.
